Mrs. Kumudben Madanbhai Sura Nursing School and Matoshri Kundangauri Manharlal Sanghvi Ladies Hostel

In line with it’s Vision and Mission and to expand it’s humanitarian activities Janaseva Foundation decided to open a nursing school in early 2002. It’s aim was to empower girls, women and divorcees from poor families by giving them quality nursing education and thereby making them employable and self sufficient.

VilasRao DeshmukhFoundation’s dream received a boost with generous donation given by foundation’s patron Lion Madanbhai Sura in the name of his wife Mrs. Kumudben and hence the school is named so. Accordingly the nursing school was inaugurated in August 2002 at the auspicious hands of Hon’ble Shri Digvijay Khanwilkar, then Health Minister, Maharashtra State, in the presence of Jt. Director and Dy. Director, Directorate of Health Services, Government of Maharashtra.

Dhapre rural hospIt conducts 18 months revised A.N.M. nursing course for the 10th / 12th pass girls. The school is recognized by the Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC), Mumbai and runs as per it’s guidelines and directives. A batch of 30 students is admitted every year in the month of August. Foundation gives preference to the girls from rural area of Konkan, girls and women from poor families, divorcees and orphans. Interested students should contact the foundation in the month of May / June for admission.
